 "An exemplary documentary...beautiful, stirring
film."
Kevin Thomas - LA Times
"A delicious documentary!"
Michael C. Donaldson - International Documentary Association
"A stunning look at a culture few westerners understand."
Mare Mazer, KCET Television

" One of the best documentary films that I've ever seen to this
day. Mesmerizing and moving storytelling style."
Bahman Ghobadi. Winner of Camera D'or. Cannes Film Festival
" This film is astonishing in how deeply it penetrates the soul of
the people. It uncovers those deep strata of culture, which reveal
the common roots of humanity."
Alexander Tsipko. Literatura Gazette. Moscow
"Congratulations on a job well done. It's done very
professionally and it shows both your talent and hard work. Shohreh
Aghdashloo does a credible job as your vocal, and Ahmads passionate
music gives the film an authentic aural identity. But what I liked most
were the films simple but dignified style of cinematography and its
fluid editing. "
Jamsheed Akrami. Film critic. Professor of film studies
a What I saw was a great surprise for me. A revelation. I felt
everyone should see this film and the director should be truly honored
for creating such a meaningful and beautiful documentary."

Dear Aryana,
I write you from homeland, Iran. I am 21 years old girl. I saw some
scenes of your film. That day, I told my Mom that I didn't know where I
belong. I don't believe in a special religion and I don't believe in God.
I've been scared of God all my childhood. We were told God will punish
you for every small matter. But your film influenced deep part of me
that day. I feel something like homeland. Now I believe in God of Iran
who lives within the soul of my people, God of love, and now, I am sure
that God will take care of me and everybody. Thank you, really I
appreciate you.
Hanieh. Tehran
